Mrs. Ellet (Elizabeth Fries Lummis Ellet). Born in 1818 she the granddaughter of American Revolutionary War captain John Maxwell. She is the first writer to record the lives of women who contributed to the American Revolutionary War. She continued writing until her death in 1877.
